Grapeworks Distilling Seeks Tasting Room Lead

Grapeworks Distilling in Woodinville, Washington is looking for a Tasting Room Lead to oversee our local tasting room operations. Grapeworks is a new distillery dedicated to making premium spirits that emphasizes the uniqueness of the process and the source of the product. We specialize in the production of “unconventional spirits from the ground up”. Initial products in production include single varietal grape vodkas, brandy, grape spirits and grappa. The position requires the ability to work on weekends and some holidays.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

Specific Duties Include:<BR style="mso-special-character: line-break"><BR style="mso-special-character: line-break">

· Oversee local retail operations including the training, scheduling and supervision of other retail associates.

· Greet and serve customers spirit samples and educate them about our products

· Maintain retail pricing and operate cash register including opening, closing and bank deposit procedures.

· Oversee the condition and appearance of the facility including bathrooms, windows and entry area.

· Monitor inventory of all products and merchandise and order and restock as required. Take monthly inventory counts as required.

· Develop, advertise and manage public and private retail events.

· Develop and manage a spirit/loyalty club to increase customer participation.

· Assist in retail room advertising and social media including the daily setting out of A-Board signs.

· Solicit and maintain a volunteer list to assist in events, festivals and bottling parties

· Manage, coordinate, set-up and participate in outside industry festivals and events <BR style="mso-special-character: line-break"><BR style="mso-special-character: line-break">

Position Requirements:


· Minimum of a high school diploma and at least two (2) years experience in the hospitality industry. Must pass the Washington State MAST training within 30 days of employment.

Required Knowledge and Experience

· Must be flexible with scheduling and willing to work weekends and some holidays.

· Must be 21 years of age.

· Ability to stand for extended periods and capable of reaching, grasping and lifting items up to 40 pounds.

· Must have knowledge of all aspects of distillery operations and the craft culture.

· Must have strong communication and leadership skills with good team dynamics and possess strong planning and organizational skills.

· Must have strong interpersonal and management skills.

· Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office and proficient in cash register operations.

· Must have strong communication skills in both oral and written formats.

· Must be customer-oriented
